GOLDCOAST
Gabi DiPace and Carrie Karpinen, born and raised on the East Coast of South Florida, make up the band Goldcoast. The duo came together after embarking on separate musical journeys. At a young age Gabi began to write and perform and at 17 decided to travel the world of and on for a few years, and shortly after released 2 solo records. Carrie began playing the drums at the age of 13, quickly picking up guitar and fell in love with writing and creating music and went on to play with various artists for the following 7 years.
Love of the ocean and heads full of dreams caused these two friends to begin to write and create music that was honest and fun. The lyrics are raw and the melodies are catchy. “We aren’t trying to be relevant or put something out because it's what’s popular. We want to believe in what we’re saying. There’s plenty of great music in the world, we just want to connect to people by putting our lives into music. And hopefully people can feel known and seen in this big world a little more when they listen to our music.” -Carrie
The two packed up their surfboards and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue their musical dreams. With a fresh sound and wide eyes, they began their musical journey together. On an old piano and acoustic guitar in their tiny loft apartment, they crafted songs that breathed life into this new dream.
Their 5 song EP will release this Spring.
